California Family Rights Act (CFRA), Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), California Paid Family Leave (PFL), and Military leave are just a few of the many leave of absence laws that may govern employers when an employee requests a leave of absence. Some qualifying factors include employer size, location, and employee length of service, to name a few. This one hour webinar will cover the legal leave requirements under the federal Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), as well as the California Family Rights Act (CFRA) for companies employing 50 or more. Several key changes have occurred over the last couple of years and we are seeing an increase in these leaves. Employers who have little or no understanding of how these plans operate and how to comply will find this webinar necessary to avoid discrimination complaints and lawsuits. Make no mistake: these plans can be very complicated and even require special forms to protect both employee and employer.
